hello hello my beautiful friends
welcome to the Aaron Davis Show
I'm Aaron the grounded rich girl coach
I help women in business create simple money systems
so we have really calm cash flow
financial stability
and security without the crystal ball
now this episode today
is for the woman who has been running on a
adrenaline for the last 20 odd years
putting everybody else first
you know working hard
running a business doing all the things
but really just hasn't taken a moment to herself
for forever really
I want you to know that I have been there
that has been me and it has been
through this phase of
having to do everything for everybody else
now that's a bit full on
saying have to do everything for everybody else
um I chose to do that and that is totally fine
but I have been busy working
looking after everybody else
and I know that busy women in business in particular
they are always busy
there is never any time to slow down
there is never
any time to do the things that you wanna do
but
I know that this concept of getting good with money
has been something that has been on the to do list
for such a long time
it has been on my to do list for a long time as well
and it really wasn't until
I made a very conscious decision
that I didn't want to keep living in this
Groundhog Day life anymore
now don't get me wrong
we are very fortunate we
my husband and I have both good
got good jobs
we live in a beautiful home in a beautiful area
our kids are well supported
they have been able to do all the activities
so we haven't had to go without
however
we have been living in this space of this really
average seven out of 10 life
I would say in this financial space
because it it was just the pressure that I put on
on myself and our family
to just keep up and go through the motions
and all of that LED to
us just going through the motions every single week
every single day and before long
years would pass and what I really wanna say is that
we have the choice to do things different
and it has been through this journey
of creating my own financial stability
that I have been able to really lean into
what's important to us
and create these simple money systems
that women in business are now implementing
in their own business and their own life
so that they can create that financial stability
because I know that
we don't want to keep working as hard
as we did in our 20s
this midlife space is a time for us to really stop
and stop waiting for the right time to happen
it is the time to choose how we wanna show up
what we wanna do
and I know that simple systems actually do work
the thing is though
that you actually have to do the work yourself
and so this is what I do with my clients
I create simple money systems that they can implement
that don't add to their workload
they actually take off the pressure
I really want simple systems that can be implemented
now these systems sometimes are a little boring
they're a little monotonous
but these are the things that will actually
move you forward and I know for some people
creating these boring systems is a little challenging
so don't get me wrong
we do have a way to make it interesting
we do have a way to create the fun
but we're taking away that complicated mess
of having to do it all perfect
and having to do it all right
and I know that we are
in a world where we are overspenders
over consumers
and when we start to create these simple money systems
we are digging a little deeper as to well
what void are we trying to fill
what pattern are we trying to break
because if we start to look at our money habits
we actually are creating this illusion of
that money will solve everything
money will solve what it is that we want
how we wanna be how we wanna show up
and I think that
if we start to break things down a little bit
and realize that you know
every pattern that we have has a purpose
it tells us what's going on
it tells us what's happening under the system
and I know that our brains are wide for predictability
they are always looking for the same thing
they are looking for the same patterns
and it takes a lot for us to shift into this it
area of possibility where we can
really start to create what it is that we want
so if we start to look at well
what are our patterns
what are the voids that we are trying to fill
with our overspending overconsuming
always being busy always being on
always looking after everybody else
and never having any time for ourselves
what are we trying to Phil
what is the problem there
you know
I think we actually need to take some responsibility
take some ownership
and realize that getting good with money is a decision
the very first thing we need to do is
get out of these old habits
get out of these old patterns
that are keeping you stuck
because the No. 1 thing with getting good with money
is becoming aware of those unconscious habits
that we just keep whinging about
how expensive things are
or why we're feeling the way we're feeling
but we're actually not taking
responsibility and accountability
for these unconscious patterns
and so if you really wanna get good with money
and you don't wanna have to work like you did when
you were in your 20s
the simple money system that we use in the Grounded
Rich Girl program
is the thing that will be a game changer for you
I don't want you to rely on this crystal ball
to be able to manifest your way out
of the feeling of never having enough
don't get me wrong we create so much momentum
and we create so much change
through changing our thoughts
and changing the outlook that we have
but we also need to back that up with simple systems
so for me the ground of Rich Girl
is really about creating this beautiful balance
between strategy and purpose
it is leaning into our thoughts
our feelings our beliefs
and really
coupling that with simple systems that allow you
to create the momentum
and I really want you to start to become obsessed
with this stuff because
you know we need to draw the line in the sand
we've got what 10
15 years until we retire
if we wait until we have a good time
until we have more money in the bank
if we have everything sorted
we are gonna be waiting a really long time
we have a society
where our lifestyle continues to increase
every time our income increases
we are in this over consumer
overspending space
where we are not allowing ourselves to be okay with
not being caught up in this consumerism
we feel like we need to keep up
and I don't want you to confuse
intentional spending with deprivation
the thing is I want you to enjoy life
I want you to travel
I want you to do the things that light you up
I want you to feel good
I want you to feel like you're in control
the difference is you just need to plan for it
so instead of paying for it later
create this simple system
create the simple plan
that allows you to be back in the driver's seat
this takes the pressure off you
to have it all figured out
you don't need a fancy complicated system
you just need sustainable steps that you can implement
day in day out
which will create the biggest shift
this is where we will feel secure
with your money coming and going
we need need to be okay with the flow of money
and I know that when you create these simple systems
this is the game changer and so

the self validation things
because until we can own where we're at
until we can recognize
what it is that we keep repeating
we are going to keep validating to ourselves
every single time the patterns that we hold
or the patterns that we implement
and when we raise our standards
when we really take ownership of this
and we decide that you know we need to step it up
then that's when you can stop outsource
outsourcing your responsibility with money
and really take some ownership of it
you know because I can teach you all the things
but it is up to you behind closed doors
in every single decision every single moment
for you to choose
what you were gonna do with your money
so for too long
I would suspect that you've outsourced your money
mindlessly spending just going with the flow
doing the things that you've always done
yet still feeling like you are in this money rut
this heaviness this Groundhog Day
this day in day out thing
now when we work through what it is that you are doing
these habits these patterns
we can then really
start to take back our power and choose
because the faster you make a decision
like Alex Hormosi says the faster you make a decision
the closer you are
or the faster you're gonna get to your goal
and so you don't have to have all of this perfect
but you can't expect change to happen
if you're not ready to own it
you're not ready to create the change
you're not ready to do the work
and so I know that when you get good with money
everything changes again
I don't want you to feel like you're deprived
I don't want you to feel like
you're not allowed to spend
but I do want you to start spending with intention
and this is where we really step into what a grounded
rich girl looks like because remember
rich looks different for everybody
this is where you create your own version of rich
and so with that

I know that money heaviness is hard
but the question I would ask you is choose your hard
do you wanna keep living the way you are
do you are living right now

do you want to keep showing up
in the way that you have always done
later when you have more time
later when you have more energy
later when you have more money
this is why you can be earning really good money
and still feel broke it's not because you're lazy
it's not because you're not trying hard
but it's because you have not taken ownership
and you have not created the simple systems
that you can stick to

create the money flow and most importantly
I want you to create financial security and stability
